Depression

There is an often  unrecognised connection that a person's mental, physical, emotional, nutritional and spiritual elements are all inextricably linked. The holistic viewpoint is that which affects one area, will also affect another.

Frequently, most  people see their problems as singular ailments,  rather than looking at the bigger picture of the mind-body-spirit connection.

By using naturopathy (where indicated), and hypnotherapy (primarily), you will be able to see  how the body and mind affect each other, and how you can be helped by the use of these techniques.

But can hypnotherapy help relieve depression?

Yes.  Hypnotherapy is a tool that may help you recover your life, and open the doors to deeper understanding, healing and a happier life.

As the causes of depression, anxiety and panic are many, there is not one solution that suits everyone. However, hypnosis may help your mind and body, and address causes in a way that you may not have considered or tried before.

How can hypnotherapy  help me?

Experience has shown that unresolved traumatic events in our past can be responsible for many of our current negative behaviours, attitudes and states of mind.

By using hypnotherapy, it is possible to regress to the time of the traumatic or triggering event/events that are causing the current problem.

.

What happens during a hypnotherapy session?

You access the time that the original event occurred. By going back into the past, you are able to access  the "part" of  the subconsciousness that has been traumatised, and is "still suffering".The therapist speaks to each "part"as if it is a person, in a polite and friendly manner. The traumatised  part is then asked to express what it  needs to the person, or persons, that can be of most help. Under the guidance of the therapist, a dialogue is established and maintained until the needs of the  "part" are completely satisfied, and all negative energy is dissipated.

In some sessions you may  move through many ages, and discover many parts that have needs. Once all the needs are satisfied, you are then asked to re-assess your feelings as to the problem in the current time frame. If you are still experiencing the problem,  the procedure is repeated.

Can I be helped if I have been abused or raped?

Yes. If  the triggering event is the direct result of an offender (eg rape) then, using the above technique, you  express your feelings to the perpetrator, in any manner that is appropriate to you. This is continued  until all negative feelings and  emotions are expunged, and the event and offender are no longer of any concern to you .

How long does a session last?

Usually 60 to 90 minutes.

How many sessions will I need?

Depending on the depth and nature of the problem you are experiencing, and the reluctance of some "parts" to contacted, it may take 3 - 6 sessions to achieve a satisfactory resolution.

I am more than happy to discuss with you, over the telephone, how we can work together, prior to arranging an appointment.
